The 2019 NT Junior Barra Classic

The highly successful Frenchy’s Marine Junior Barramundi Classic is held in conjunction with the Iron Jack NT Barramundi Classic and is now in its 13th year. It is held on the first day of the tournament and enables between 60-80 junior anglers to fish for barramundi with some of the best anglers in the country. 

It is debatable on who gets the most from this initiative, the juniors or the skippers and crew. Junior anglers are shown how to tag and release barramundi and the rangers from the Daly River also engage in this great day, providing insight into how to sustain the Daly River fishery and respect the sacred sites on the river.
